TPO Roofing in Manor, TX

Single-ply membrane for flat and low-slope roofs, commercial and residential.

TPO roofing installation, replacement and repair in Manor and the greater Austin area: heat-welded single-ply membrane for flat and low-slope roofs on commercial buildings, and for low-slope sections on homes where shingles do not belong.

Overview

What TPO Roofing Includes

TPO is the white single-ply membrane on most new flat commercial roofs in Central Texas, and for good reason: the seams are heat-welded into one sheet, the white surface reflects summer heat, and it handles ponding water better than asphalt-based systems. It is also the right answer for the low-slope sections on older homes, the porch roofs, additions and 1970s flat-topped houses in Austin, where someone put shingles on a pitch shingles are not rated for.

A TPO roof is only as good as the details. We install over the right insulation or cover board, weld every seam and check it, and flash the drains, curbs, walls and penetrations properly, because that is where flat roofs fail. Where an existing TPO roof is leaking, we repair seams and details or replace sections, and are honest about when the whole membrane is done.

  • New TPO installation on flat and low-slope roofs
  • TPO replacement, including wet insulation removal
  • TPO repair: seams, flashings, drains and punctures
  • Low-slope sections on homes: porches, additions and flat roofs
  • Insulation and cover board to spec
  • Welded seams checked, not just glued
  • Drain, scupper and curb flashing done right
Warning signs

Signs You Need TPO Roofing

  • A flat or low-slope roof with shingles on it
  • Ponding water and a leak that shows up after every heavy rain
  • Open or peeling seams on an existing membrane
  • Leaks at drains, HVAC curbs or where the roof meets a wall
  • An old built-up or modified bitumen roof that keeps getting patched
How it works

Our TPO Roofing Process

01

Site Visit and Core Check

We walk the roof, check seams, drains, penetrations and ponding areas, and take cores where needed to see what is under the surface.

02

Written Scope and Options

Repair, restore or replace, with the trade-offs and a line-item price for each. You choose; we do not push the biggest number.

03

Scheduled Around Your Business

Work is sequenced to keep tenants and operations running, with daily cleanup and a final walk-through.

Pricing

What Affects the Cost of TPO Roofing

You get the price before the work starts. These are the things that move it:

  • Square footage and roof shape
  • Whether wet insulation has to come out
  • Membrane thickness and reinforcement
  • Number of drains, curbs and penetrations to flash
  • Attachment method for the building and wind exposure
FAQ

TPO Roofing FAQs

Can you put TPO on a house?

Yes, on the low-slope parts. Porch roofs, additions and flat sections should not have shingles, and TPO is a clean, long-lasting answer. The steep parts of the house stay shingle or metal.

TPO or a coating over my existing roof?

If the existing membrane and insulation are dry and sound, a coating can extend its life at lower cost. If cores show wet insulation, coating it traps the problem, and replacement with new TPO is the honest answer.

How long does a TPO roof last here?

Installed and flashed correctly, twenty years or more in Central Texas is a reasonable expectation. The details, seams and drains, are what decide it.
